Matthew 13:12-14

¹²For to him who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.^[a] ¹³This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. ¹⁴With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says:

‘You shall indeed hear but never understand,
and you shall indeed see but never perceive.

13.12 To those well-disposed Jews who have made good use of the old covenant will now be given the perfection of the new. On the other hand, from those who have rejected God’s advances will now be taken away even that which they have, because the old covenant is passing away.
